The 1989 Mongoose Alta is our most popular model with the latest and newest component equipment available. The Alta has a Tange Cr-Mo monostay frame design with an oval blade Cr-Mo front fork and is equipped with a Suntour XCM index shifting system. The high performance component selection includes 18 speed index gearing, Dia-Compe cantilever brakes, SR cast alloy Ovaltech crankset, Araya alloy quick release wheels, a Mongoose Bio-Tex lycra padded maxi saddle, and 26x1.95 fat tires. The Alta is a great value and ready for the most rugged terrain.
